Okay so I'm really sad that i didn't go out to LA for fashion's night out. It would have been a great experience to be there! But oh well there's always another time. So since i wasn't able to do that I ended up going to a teen fashion show that they had at the shopping mall where I work at. It was hosted by one of the competitors from Project Runway, Santino Rice. (wish I would've been able to take a picture with him, but because of the lack of organization there, I wasn't able to) Anyway it was really nice seeing a lot of young kids showing off their passion for fashion. I had a really great time since i ended up going with my mother and little sister. It's always a great time when your with family and tonight was no exception. Here are a few pictures I took with my little sister and of the venue. I was finally able to show off my new military vest! It looked just like I envisioned it. Let me know what you think!

So I'm really excited for this post because I won my very first blog award!! Olivia from bklynlifestyle nominated me for this award and I am at a loss of words! I've only been doing this for a few months now and as I've mentioned before ALL of your comments mean the world to me! And this just made my day like no other! I've mentioned Olivia's blog a couple of times in the past two posts because I really love her blog! Okay so enough of my blabbing. So here are the rules for the award:

7 Random things: 
1. I am completely in love with the show Fringe! I'm not sure if any of you have seen it, but if you haven't I definitely recommend it! the fourth season starts September 23rd!
2. I have a really bad nail biting habit! I swear I can't stop!
3. For some reason when I text people(and when I'm writing comments or posting on my blog) I always include either alot of !,  (LOL) 's or :) . I dont know I always feel like people sound so drab in their texts or they often misinterpret your texts, so to avoid any conflict I always add one of those things! lol.. They can't possibly think you're mad or something if you add those things!
4. I am Mexican and fluent in Spanish and can read and write perfectly in Spanish!I sometimes even correct my mom when she misspells a word. (I know a lot of you have seen a few of my comments in Spanish, but still I thought I'd put it out there for those of you who don't know.) 
5. I have the biggest pet peeve when there are grammatical errors in books or anything that is written. I know that a lot of my posts don't have the best grammar, But it really drives me crazy when there are numerous errors. (I guess that kind of makes me crazy)
6. If I could go anywhere in the world it would probably be Greece. The food, landscape, architecture all seem very interesting to me. 
7. My favorite band of all time is Coldplay! I love their music and there's mot one song I don't like! Their lyrics are so poetic and really touch me in many ways. 


Okay so I seriously follow and LOVE so many blogs so this was a hard choice for me, BUT I do have some that are currently my favorite: (I won't put Olivia's since she nominated me, BUT she is currently one of my favorites!)


1. loveoffashion22- Love her style and her personality! The way she puts together her outfits is amazing to me!
2. nanysklozet - I know she probably gets so many of these, but I love the her blog so much! She is such a big inspiration to me and her creativity never seizes to amaze me. i also really love the fact that she comments to a lot of bloggers and is in touch with many of her followers! 
3. ashesintofashion- Shes so gorgeous! But not only that her personality really shines through the camera! 
4. lilbitsofchic- Love that she shows a lot of personality in her posts! I feel like i know her as a person just by reading them!
5. cheetokisses- I love this girl! I feel like we're friends now! lol. But seriously I always enjoy reading her nice comments and her blog! 
6. beautyfash- i love the fact that she not only posts her outfits, but also things that she cooks! She seems to be an amazing mother and wife and her fashion sense is on point!
7. fashionbeautyglamour- She doesn't do outfit posts, but she posts a lot of things about the Kardashian style (which I loove!) and I also love that she posts different things that inspire her.
8. notwithoutmyheels- I love her fashion sense! All of her outfits look so great on her!
9. mariannan- Her style is very different yet simple and she seems like such a sweet girl!
10. fashionbananas- Her style seems like from another era, yet very modern and with her own personal twist. 
11. maytedoll- Love that she does so many Kardashian recreations!
12. mariacamilascloset- Her look is so classy and still sexy at the same time! I love reading all her posts!
13. alishafashionista- She also has a different style and a great fashion sense!
14. nosiinmiistacones- Her style is so effortless and simple, but it fits her very well!
15. dulcecandy- Finally the one and only dulce! This girl can seriously rock an outfit! Anything goes with her and her bubbly personality is a plus! She's one of the main reasons I started blogging!

So today was a very loong day! I started fall semester already and I have school Monday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.! The weather here in Chino has been so crazy. Last week it was perfect weather and this week it was so hot with lots of humidity. I hate this weather it makes me so lazy and sweaty. Anyway I have a few pictures I forgot to post the other day so here they are! I also included to pictures one of one of the items from the fall wishlist! Thanks to Olivia from bklynlifestyle for encouraging me to get it before they sell out! I'm already so in love with it and I can't wait to wear it. the second other picture I included is of my boy! He was resting since he comes to school the same hours as I do so I snuck a picture in!

Fall Wishlist

Okay so I know a lot of people are doing wish lists for the month, but I decided to do something a little differently and do one just for the fall season since most of my items are a little pricey. I'm trying to control my shopping and expenses this year so making this list will definitely help me! Okay so here it is, I will be making a post every time I get one of the items on the list. 1. Orange knit sweater- I'm really loving anything knit for the fall. I don't really own anythin

1. Orange knit sweater- Okay so I love the color on this knit sweater and I have already thought of a million ways I can wear this! 

2. Military Vest- So I saw this vest on a blog http://bklynlifestyle.blogspot.com/ and I thought it was soo cute! She bought it at Old Navy and I'm hoping I can still find it there!

3. Black Tights- I've owned so many tights through the years, but I always find myself buying some every single year because I wear them so much during the winter. So again they are on my shopping list!

4. Fur Vest- So this one I'm really excited about because I've been wanting one since last year! I finally gained the courage to get one so hopefully I find a cute one with a great price!

5. Burgundy Jeans- I'm really liking the colored jeans trend, but I already own two pairs of very bright jeans  soo I want some that aren't as bright. This color is also perfect for the fall and there's many ways I can wear them.

6. Leopard Flats- I normally don't get flats because I always have a hard time keeping them clean, BUT I need something other than boots and I definitely can't wear sandals for the fall. I love anything animal print so I'm excited to get these babies!

7. Tan Boots- I absolutely looove looove loove tan boots! I love the color and I think they go with any outfit! Last year I wasn't able to buy any tan boots so I had to stick with black ones, which I think made my outfits look so drab and similar to each other. So I am making it my mission to get these!

So I wasn't able to get a photographer today so I had to resort to webcam pictures. I hate not being able to do outfit posts so I guess this will have to do for now! Okay so I got this top at Buffalo Exchange about 3 months ago and it's one of my favorites! I think I got it for under 8 dollars. I decided to pair it up with one of my favorite chains. I also wore some black leggings with it and you can't see them on her but I also wore some tan sandals to create a contrast of color. Hope you like it and let me know what you think!

So I'm really excited today because my best friend Nancy (I know we have the same name, we used to always get teased about it!) is coming to visit me! I haven't seen her in a really long time and we definitely have some catching up to do. She is a very special person to me because I have been friends with her since 8th grade! She knows me the best out of everyone I know. Though we don't hang out as much since she lives about an hour away, every time we get together it's always a great time no matter what we're doing.
 So today's post is dedicated to the weekly challenge by nanysklozet.blogspot.com and flordemariafashion.com. This week's challenge was to wear tennis shoes. I'm not going to lie i was very nervous about this one. In high school I used to wear sneakers all the time, but for some reason I slowly stopped wearing them. The shoes I'm wearing today I've had since my highschool years so they're a little worn out. These are my favorite sneakers, and even though I don't wear them very much I can't seem to let them go! I wanted my outfit to look edgy which is a look I love to dress up in! Let me know what you think!

Okay so I know i haven't been posting up outfit pictures, but I've seriously been sooo busy! I really miss posting up pictures. Anyway first of all I'd like to thank everyone who has been leaving me really nice comments on my outfits! They are all greatly appreciated and you all have no idea how much they mean to me! Okay so I'd like to tell you a little bit more about what gave me inspiration to write this quote today. A few posts ago there was something I posted about how I've been trying to diet, but I can never stick to any of the diets I do. There was a lovely reader who posted a really nice comment (Diana from cheetokisses.blogspot.com). She recommended a book to me that has now changed my complete outlook on weight issues and my body image. I really want to thank her because it has really changed a lot of my ways of eating. I don't have any results yet about the stuff I've been trying from the book, BUT I do feel a lot more energized. I encourage anyone who has had any problems with their weight and just aren't happy with themselves anymore to try reading this book. It is very empowering and has definitely changed my perspective on a lot of things! Here's what the book looks like..It's called Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel.

Okay so since I haven't posted I wanted to show you all a few things I have been buying here and there. I'm getting ready for fall so there's a lot of things i can't wear just yet. 

I bought these gloves at H & M for $9.95 and I thought they were the cutest little thing!

Okay so these babies are my favorite new buy! I really like the Jeffrey Campbell lita shoes, but 1. they're way too expensive and 2. his look like they would make my feet look really big! I bought these for $32! Crazy huh?

you've probably seen the nude wedges on the left in previous posts but they are my favorite summer buy!

They were only $20! The light green ones on the right I believe were only $24.99( I have yet to wear them though )

I got this cape sweater at H & M for only $17.95!
